Grenelle Estévez (born Luis Estévez, 1930, in Cuba) attended the Traphagen School of Fashion. In 1955 he began designing under his own name, a label that lasted until 1968. In 1972, he designed for actress Eva Gabor (The Eva Gabor Look by Estévez). By 1977, Estévez was designing for many Hollywood stars, and eventually retired in 1997.
Here are a few of my favorite Estévez pieces, currently for sale on Etsy.
Vintage 1960's Grecian Gown from Timeless Vixen, $440.
1960's Black Wiggle Dress from Planet Claire Vintage, $325.
1950's Brocade Party Dress from Vias Vintage, $170.
I was luck enough to find this amazing
That white gown is simply stunning! They're all fantastic, really. I love this short and sweet post.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! love the white dress!!
ReplyDeleteI know this post is a few years old but I thought I'd ask you anyway. I am a vintage seller on Etsy. I found what appears to be a 1970's Grecian style gown, full length. The problem I'm having is understanding the label. It simply says Eva Gabor in pink cursive letters, but no Estevez on the label. Have you any ideas on this?
