Mad Men Casting Call Finalists: Andrea wearing jessjamesjake!

I just received a convo from a long time customer letting me know
that she's a top 10 finalist for the Mad Men Casting Call!!

Guess what else? She's wearing a vintage sweater she bought from my shop!

Andrea (pictured above) is the 3rd finalist here.
Also, the Mad Men blog surrounding the casting call has more updates!

The voting round is over, and the Mad Men walk-on role
will go to one of these finalists! I must admit, it'd be awesome to have the winner
say they got part of their winning outfit at jessjamesjake!

The original transaction: 1950's Saffron Sweater, http://bit.ly/bEQVSW

Much like the sweater below, on Christina Hendricks:

Finding Vintage: An XL Clothing Lot!

Yuppers, it's true! I came into a lot (LOT) of
1950's - 1970's XL & Plus size clothing. Mostly casual
day dresses, wrap skirts, and sweaters -- but there are
also a few 1950's cocktail party dresses, some 1960's evening wear,
and several 1970's disco dresses. She was a bit smaller in the 50's & 60's,
so those are more in the L - XL size range (modern day 12 - 14).
The 70's dresses range from a contemporary size 14 - 24. Very cute
taste, all flattering cuts, many nautical styles, V necklines and full skirts!

Some are already up in my shop!

Many are featured below . . .

and there are even a few sneak peaks at the bottom!

Bleeker Street Dresses!

I love their motto . . .

Bleeker Street:
For rich girls who are tight-fisted.

Created by Jonathan Logan in 1966, and was in existence until about 1974.
Aimed at the younger crowd, usually quite mod and stylized!

(Top photo: Red, White and Blue Mod dress from slubird, $24.99)

I'm lucky enough to have a couple Bleeker St. dresses in my
shop! Here's my current favorite, Orange & White Mod Dress, $62.

Next up, we have a 1960's Shiftdress
with a peter pan collar and adorable polka dot print.
From dirtycityvintage, $40.

Swoon . . . . afternooncoffeespoon's nautical Bleeker
captures my heart! A total steal at only $32.

Love this vintage shop's name: themadmadam
Love their $40 Bleeker St. Shift Dress!

Last one! Quite subtle for Bleeker. Classic white

Hope you enjoy! You might also like my blog post from the
